Set in the picturesque wine-producing
valley of Franschhoek, the Franschhoek Country House offers

The restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to
1890, is situated on the outskirts of the village and is
surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains.
An hour's drive from Cape Town makes it the perfect getaway
for anyone visiting the Western Cape.
The Country House and Villas offers 14 luxury rooms and 12
new Villas Suites. All the rooms offer features and
facilities expected of a first class hotel. Almost all rooms
lead out onto private balconies or private patio with

one of the guest lounges alongside a crackling log-fire,
creating a welcoming atmosphere in winter. The new Villa

During summer, guests laze at one of the two pools (one
heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique
wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town
found by the French Huguenots. The in house Monneaux
restaurant, voted as one of South Africa's Top Restaurants,
has become known for its innovative Modern French Cuisine,
prepared with fresh, well sourced ingredients and is
exquisitely presented. A-la-Carte lunches are served on the
magnificent new fountain terrace whilst dinner is served in
the understated, yet elegant, dining room or enclosed
verandah. The wine list emphasizes local wines that can also
be enjoyed by the glass in the cozy wine bar or underground
